Drink More Water

We know that coffee makes you use the restroom – however, water is better than water because it keeps you mentally and physically alert. So, if you want to stay healthy while working at a desk, you will want to drink more water.

This way, you will have to get up more frequently to use the restroom. And on the brighter side – you will be more focused and hydrated.

Set a Timer

If you tend to lose track of time easily, you might want to set a time to know when to get up and stretch a bit. You might as well get up, get some water, and look out the window. The objective is to get moving and get out of the sitting position.

So, to remind yourself that it is time to get up and walk around, you might want to set a timer that beeps every 45-minutes.

Believe us when we tell you that 45-minutes is more than enough to be sticking to one sitting position for a long time.

Go for a Walk

Go outside of your house, check out your backyard, and see where you might want to opt for the services of the best landscapers. The walk is also a simpler way to move your body if you cannot opt for the simpler exercise.

Did you know that Steve Jobs was actually known for going on long walks? So, long walks can be used in place of exercise – but long walks are also great for contemplation and problem-solving. But we have a great tip for you.

If you ever feel like a meeting is coming up, you might want to avail the time and go on a long walk – this way, you will be killing two objectives with one stone. Not only will you be moving your body, but you will also be participating in a meeting.

Also, suppose you have to meet someone; you can take advantage of the meeting and just walk and talk instead of sitting at a desk for an hour or two.

The benefit of going on walks is that it stimulates the brain and can actually awaken your brain activity. So, walking isn’t only effective for your health and activates those parts of your brain that are used for creativity, activity, and problem-solving.

So, a sedentary body and lifestyle can cause your brain to be sluggish, whereas walking and other activities can help you get more done during the day. So, you should definitely make some time and walk every day.
