With the new Genshin Impact version 6.0 comes some brand new characters, including a 4-star free one! This year’s 4-star character introduces Aino, who works best as a Hydro Sub-DPS. While her appearance on a banner hasn’t been released yet, gameplay has already been shown for her, along with her kit and ways to create her build. With her high Hydro-application output and low Energy cost, she can provide lots of value to her teams.

📖Who is Aino?

One of the best features that Aino has is her Hydro application off-field and long burst durations. She can apply these abilities with a much lower Energy cost, allowing more DPS than other characters. However, this comes at the cost of damage output, as she is a bit weaker than most main and Sub-DPS characters overall. But, with Aino’s strengths and flexible weapon and artifact choices, she makes for a strong character for beginner characters, and as an introduction to Nod-Krai.
Unfortunately, there are a few other weaknesses to Aino’s kit to factor into. Besides Aino’s lower attack damage, her Hydro application does take longer to spread compared to other Hydro DPS characters. Her best upgrades also tend to be locked behind higher constellations, which require more grinding for materials for ascension. If you’re willing to put in the work and boost her with weapons and artifact builds, though, she can easily make up for these plights.

👥Aino’s Best Team Comps & Synergies

Aino’s main specialty is her Elemental Burst, which deals wide Hydro AOE damage that’s best paired with Lunar, Vaporize, and Bloom teams. These teams fit well with Aino’s Hydro element, which will increase her and the rest of the team’s overall DPS and Elemental Mastery. This helps boost Aino’s lower stats, especially when paired with higher damage output characters.
