Masai Mara National Reserve
Unarguably, one of the most breathtaking and famed reserves of Kenya is the Masai Mara. It has high densities of animal populations found roaming in its natural habitats. It sits adjacent to Serengeti National Park of Tanzania, allowing the Great Migration to take place.
In this migration, millions of wildebeest and other plain animals travel to and fro Serengeti and Mara annually. Various obstacles are faced by the migratory animals during the journey. They are followed by predatory animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. Another major challenge for these animals is to cross the Mara River and avoid deadly Nile crocodiles. The Great Migration can only be seen in Masai Mara, making this reserve unique.
